Main-Trac ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application developed by [WaterToolsTech] for tracking and servicing equipment at sites such as wineries, shops, and remote locations. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Main-Trac app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Account Information (via Firebase Authentication)When you create an account or log in, we collect:

• Email address
• Password (stored securely by Firebase — we do not have access to the plain-text password)

App Usage Data

• Sites you create (names and optional photos)
• Machines/equipment under each site and category (name, serial number, purchase date, service notes, machine photos, customer photos)
• Timestamps and basic metadata for records

Photos and Media

• Photos of sites, machines, and related items that you upload (stored in Firebase Storage)

Technical Data

• Device type, operating system version, and app version (collected automatically for crash reporting and improvement — no personal identifiers beyond your account)

We do not collect:

• Precise location data
• Contacts
• Microphone or camera access beyond what you intentionally use for photo upload
• Advertising identifiers for tracking
• Any data from third-party analytics or ads (no ads in the app)

We use your data only to provide and improve the Main-Trac service:

• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Store and sync your sites, machines, service records, and photos across devices (including offline mode via Firestore offline persistence)
• Display your data in the app (Sites view, Types view, Category screens, machine lists)
• Enable features like adding/changing photos, renaming, and long-press menus
• Process account deletion requests (including permanent removal of all associated data)

All user data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore for structured data, Storage for photos, Authentication for accounts).

• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Access is restricted by Firebase Security Rules so only you (via your authenticated account) can view or modify your own data.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
• The only third-party service involved is Firebase (Google), which processes data on our behalf under strict data processing terms.

We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account (see section 6), we will delete or anonymize your data, including all sites, machines, notes, and photos. Firebase retains some backup copies for up to 180 days after deletion in certain cases, after which they are permanently removed.

We do not share your personal data except:

• With Google Firebase as the hosting and processing provider (subject to Google's privacy practices — see Firebase Privacy)
• If required by law (e.g., court order or government request)
• In the event of a business transfer (merger, acquisition), with appropriate safeguards

You can manage your data directly in the app:

• View and edit your sites, machines, and photos at any time.
• Delete individual items (sites, machines, photos) using long-press menus.

Account Deletion You can permanently delete your entire account and all associated data directly from the app in the Settings screen (Delete My Account button). This action:

• Deletes your Firebase Authentication account
• Triggers removal of all your sites, machines, service notes, and photos from Firestore and Storage (via our configured Delete User Data process)

We also provide a web-based deletion request option. To request deletion via website, contact us at [your email address] with the subject "Main-Trac Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account.

After deletion, you will no longer be able to access the app with that account, and data recovery is not possible.

You may also have additional rights under applicable law (e.g., access, correction, or deletion requests). Contact us to exercise these rights.

Main-Trac is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and on our website, with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
